Dr. Joseph Davis currently serves as a professor of theology in the College of Christian Ministries and Religion at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. Prior to coming to Southeastern University, Dr. Davis served as senior pastor of New Exodus Fellowship (later Crossroads Assembly of God). He planted the church in 1986 and ministered there for nineteen years. During that time, he oversaw a drug rehabilitation program and served as president of the York County Pro-Life Federation.

As a professor Dr. Davis takes student groups to Israel for on-site instruction and has enjoyed the thrill of seeing people realize their life long dreams of “walking where Jesus walked.” Dr. Davis’ academic pursuit is in the field of apologetics. Presently, Dr. Davis tours throughout the year holding debates at universities and “doubt nights” for Sunday services and youth groups where he tackles the hardest and most compelling questions about the Christian faith. In the past Dr. Davis has debated entire faculties of local universities and ardent atheists on topics pertinent to the Christian faith.

Dr. Davis’ radio broadcast, “Reason to Believe,” can be heard in numerous markets. On weekends Dr. Davis also regularly fills the pulpit as a guest speaker in churches throughout the country. Dr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy and History from Towson University, Towson, Md.; a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Okla.; and a Ph.D. in Apologetics from Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, Pa
