A Psalm From Ein Gedi

Justin Hendershott | June 2023

“Father, I think back to when I felt helpless, lost without answers. I saw no doors open and a house full of cracked windows. Each window represented an opportunity, a person, a task, a mission you have put before me. I lacked courage when approaching each window because of my insecurity, my fear, my lack of trust in what you could do in me and through me. I found that when I fully and confidently opened a window it was easy to do as my eyes would begin to open. The sunlight would shine through, and everything would be revealed so clearly. Once I opened one window, I would feel more led to open more. The sun would hit my face as I would feel the warmth and comfort of your will for my life. Thank you oh God, that my life is full of windows. That you will always have one ready for me to open. Some windows I may just look out of to receive revelation, some I may need to sit at and wait to see what’s next and some I just may need to climb through to fully experience what is outside. You are faithful oh God! I put my trust in you today. Remind me through your Holy Spirit of what you have revealed to me on this mountain, in this wilderness. Remind me of your faithfulness and love whenever I see a window.”
